ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kendall Kirk Singleton has been painting ever since she could hold a paint brush, and art was always the highlight of the day in school. She graduated from Mississippi State University in May of 2015, and although she didn’t realize the reality of being a painter full time, her love for art grew into a full time job.
Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, she now lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi with her husband and opened her studio there at the beginning of 2018. Her art has been featured in various publications and blogs across the south and was also chosen to be on the cover of a novel in 2020.
Kendall works with a palette knife and oil paints for her subjects. Inspired by light and color, her goal is to create art that is unique and fresh but will be loved by her collectors for years to come. She loves how a piece of art can complete a room and be a constant reminder of something you love.
Favorite quote: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left but could say I’ve used everything you gave me.” -Erma Bombeck
